Pet of the Week: Bugzy

Each week, we spotlight an exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.

Looking to adopt a truly special dog?  Perhaps Bugzy is the guy for you!  Bugzy is special because he is visually impaired.  It appears that he can see shapes and shadows, but will need a stable living environment, as lots of change can be unsettling to dogs with poor sight.  He also has a tendency to startle, as he can't see what's coming.  Because of this, he would do best in a home without young children.  With adults, Bugzy is a sweetheart!  You can't stop petting his thick, soft coat!  The one other rule Bugzy insists upon is no cats!  They are far too tempting for him, and despite his poor vision, he always seems to know when there's a cat around!  He does get along with calm dogs, though, and enjoys their company.

Bugzy is an approximately seven year old, neutered male shepherd mix.  He is vaccinated, heartworm negative, dewormed, and microchipped.
