Pet of the Week: Erin

Erin, a loving and gentle pittie, needs a permanent home. She loves to cuddle, and she even wants to make friends with cats.

Erin is a small bundle of sweet loving dog. She loves people of all sizes and ages, she loves other dogs and she desperately wants to befriend cats. Erin has plastered herself against the floor, head on the floor between her paws, trying to show the cats how submissive she is.

They must believe her because they use her as a rubbing post. They are not willing, however, to play tag with her.

Erin has lovely light green eyes and an endearing bulldog-type underbite. Her fur is short, and her tail never stops wagging. She is full of delight and enthusiasm every minute of the day. She's only 32 pounds -- tiny body and adorable pittie head (the kind of face only a mother could love -- or a pittie lover.

Erin’s favorite activities are running and playing in a yard with another dog, and curling up next to a favorite human in the evening while the TV is playing. She is a cuddler.

Erin is pretty laid back for a young dog of barely one-year-old. Although she does love to run, it’s not for long. Then she’s happy back at home lying at someone’s feet and playing with a toy.

Erin is completely housebroken and knows sit and down (especially if treats are involved). She is very food motivated and would love to continue her education with her new family. Currently she is in a foster home where she has proved to be a wonderful, sweet, and easy dog to live with.

She is up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on a preventative. Her adoption fee is $250.00.

Please call Pam at (847) 323-6411 or email pamanimalrescue@aol.com for more information or to make an appointment to meet Erin.

Aid to Animals is a small rescue working to find dogs and cats permanent loving homes. Foster homes are always needed.
