Pet of the Week: Rory

Each week, we spotlight an exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.

If you are looking for a fun-loving friend, check out Rory!  Rory is a young pittie on the hunt for her forever home. Nothing can keep her spirits down as she has had some bad luck in the past, resulting in a nasty skin condition. As soon as she was under the care of Chicago Canine Rescue they knew just what to do. With treatment underway, this little girl is making a full recovery.

She loves to be around other dogs, but when on a leash, prefers not to socialize with her fellow canine friends, opting to enjoy long walks with her human. Rory is one of the few dogs chosen to help lift the spirits at local juvenile detention centers, helping troubled youths build positive relationships through the unconditional love of a four legged friend.

With an amazing personality and energy to spare, Rory would be a great addition to any family. Fully vaccinated, heartworm checked, microchipped and spayed, the only thing Rory is missing is a bow on her head, and a place under the tree!
