Pet of the Week: Sir Frederick

Each week, we spotlight an exceptional pet available for adoption from a local rescue.

Meet Sir Frederick!  His mohawk (yes, it's natural!) says it all- he's looking for a good time, and he hopes it's with you!  Sir Frederick really loves meeting people, and with his good leash manners and small size he's a joy to walk.  He is selective in the dogs he likes to hang out with- a proper and slow introduction is a must!  Sometimes the good Sir gets a bit overwhelmed.

Sir Frederick does have one issue that is currently being treated.  He has heartworm disease.  He has completed the first phase of treatment, and Chicago Canine Rescue will cover (and complete if Sir Frederick is still in their care when it's time) the second phase of treatment.  Proper recovery will require him to take it easy for the next couple of months, but then he'll be ready to take the world by storm!

Sir Frederick and lots of other playful pooches are waiting for you at Chicago Canine Rescue!  His adoption includes his vaccines, dewormers, neutering, microchip and heartworm disease treatment.

If you are interested in adopting Sir Frederick, please visit www.chicagocaninerescue.org and fill out an application, or look at Sir Frederick's friends and see if you can find a place in your heart for a canine companion.  If you are not ready for the longterm commitment of adoption, consider becoming a foster home or stop by and take a dog for a walk.  It's great for them, and good for you, too!
