Rejoice! Polar Vortex Gone; Here's Forecast For Rest Of Winter

We may not experience this much cold again for years. Find out where the mercury is likely to be through the end of February.

Long-range forecasting is a tricky thing, but weather predictors are saying February weather in the Chicago area will hover in the normal range of temperatures--that is, in the teens, 20s and 30s range of degrees Fahrenheit.

Accuweather.com is predicting lows of 14 ℉ for Friday and 16℉ for Super Bowl Sunday, but in the mid-20s for the entire week following, and spiking to 38 ℉ on Tuesday, Feb. 11 and remaining in the 30s through the end of February.

Details can be seen on its extended forecast, which goes several weeks into the future.

Before you put your mittens away, note that snow is predicted on Thursday and Saturday.
