Rep. Jan Schakowsky Attending Farmers' Market Summer Fun Fest

The event also features kids crafts, live music and other family-friendly activities.

Food, family and fun: all of this will be on hand at the Morton Grove Farmers' Market Summer Fun Fest from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Along with bountiful produce, the Market will feature a free bounce house for kids, a balloon artist, face painting, bingo at 9 a.m. and noon and a Radio-Flyer wagon giveaway. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Evanston) shares remarks at 11:30 a.m.

The Morton Grove Historical Museum hosts a table where children can make corn-husk dolls, local musician Steve Justman sings folk tunes and the Viking Gymnastics Club provides a lesson for kids. Blankenship Farm of Eau Claire, Michigan is the featured vendor of the day, roasting home-grown corn at their booth.
