Rev. Tom May To Celebrate Farewell Mass At SJB Saturday
Parish will bid adieu with music, reception.
Rev. Thomas May will say farewell to in Niles at the 5 p.m. Mass Saturday.
May, 55, has been pastor at the parish for 13 years. He will become pastor at St. Mary Parish in Riverside, while Father Michael Meany, now the pastor at St. Damian in Oak Forest, will come to St. John Brebeuf.
Saturday afternoon’s events will begin with a musical tribute to May at 4:30 p.m. Participants include the parish Children’s Choir, Polish Children’s Choir, Middle and High School Handbells, One Voice, LifeTeen Choir and St. Cecilia Ensemble. A reception with hors d’oeuvres and dessert will follow the Mass.
