Snow, Severe Cold On The Way

Temperatures are now starting a dramatic drop.

Lake effect snow is forecast starting Monday evening, and temperatures will plunge as a cold air mass moves into the Chicago area, the National Weather Service in Chicago said.

Wind chill values could drop as low as -25 ℉, the service said. To avoid hypothermia and frostbite, it advised dressing warmly, with a hat and gloves. Actual temperatures could go as low as -1 ℉, according to weather.com.
