Special Metra Schedules Set for July 3, 4

Additional outbound trains have been added for July 3 to accommodate suburban travelers on the Union Pacific Northwest Metra train line.

It will be easier to get home tomorrow on Metra, thanks to a special schedule in place 

For Park Ridge and Dee Road stations

On the Union Pacific Northwest Line, there will be extra outbound trains running between 1:24 p.m. and 3:26 p.m. Stops in Palatine have been added to trains running at 5:06 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. To see the full modified schedule, head to metrarail.com.

In addition to the added and modified train schedule on July 3, there are also a handful of canceled trains to be aware of. Several outbound trains between 3:25 p.m. and 6:01 p.m. will not run tomorrow. The inbound train at 4:20 p.m. is also canceled. All other trains will operate on the normal weekday schedule.

For Morton Grove station

On the Milwaukee District North line, the 5:12 p.m. is cancelled. Metra is adding additional outbound afternoon trains, but they run express past Morton Grove. 

Sunday/holiday schedule on July 4

The Sunday/holiday schedule will be in place for all Metra lines on Thursday, July 4.
