The Great Escape: LilyJack Resale & Consignment

Looking to spruce up your wardrobe on a budget? Got some good quality garb you're looking to trade in? Want to support a small, local business?  Check out this week's Great Escape: LilyJack Resale & Consignment, in Morton Grove. Launched in Sept. 2010, the retail boutique sells new and gently-used women's clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, assorted home decor accessories and gift items.

Named after store owner Gwen Kessler's two children, the shop offers an array of items; labels spotted during one recent visit include BCBG, Gap, Todd Oldham, Banana Republic, Liz Claiborne, Lane Bryant, Nine West and J. Jill. Kessler notes many of the wares are under $20, and they receive new items every day (ah, the thrill of the bargain hunt!).  The store, she adds, is now accepting in-season merchandise for consignment.

Browsers will note that the store is highlighted throughout by the work of local artists, which is also available for purchase.
