Moms, are you looking to relieve stress, tone your whole body and strengthen your cardiovascular system? Get in the swim at the Niles Family Fitness Center's indoor aquatic center.
Boasting a four-lane lap pool, mini lazy river and a 100 foot waterslide, offers a schedule of aquatic programs to accommodate all ages. For a more tranquil experience, try the adult open swim or lap swim (times vary daily), which are for ages 14 and up.
Water's buoyancy is your friend; it cushions bones and joints, making swimming an ideal low-impact workout with little chance of injury. The water temperature is a balmy 84 degrees, says Carl Maniscalco, director of Niles Family Fitness Center. Other relaxing amenities include a whirlpool and dry sauna.

So whether your pace is on par with Michael Phelps, or more leisurely, a swim session is good for both body and mind. Daily pool fee for adult residents is $5.00; non-residents: $9.00.
