Top 5 Stories of 2011: Number 5

As 2011 wraps up, we thought we'd take a look back at the year that was in Morton Grove. After looking closely at some of the biggest and most talked about stories, we narrowed down our list to the top five. 

We'll post a new story everyday until Jan. 1 and count down to the most popular article of the year. 

Our first story shows just how seriously Morton Grove . I'm already getting hungry writing about it.

In March, announced plans to demolish its current Morton Grove location and construct a two-story building near the Morton Grove Metra Station. The new restaurant would be five times its current size and located inside a city tax increment financing, or TIF district.
