Tornado Watch Issued for Chicago Area

A tornado watch has been issued from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. for Sunday in the entire Chicago metro area.

A tornado watch has been issued from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. for Sunday, and includes the entire Chicago metro area.

Multiple lines of t-storms are beginning to organize with the potential for a few lines of storms to move through the Morton Grove area between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.

The greatest risk with these storms will be straight-line winds, hail, dangerous lightning and heavy downpours.

Ryan's Advice: Have those weather radios handy! This is an evolving weather situation and storms may start popping up at random, especially after 4pm.

Severe Weather Index Scale: (2) Moderate Risk for the Morton Grove area.
