Veteran’s Day Ceremony

When/Where: Friday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at the ; 8970 N. Milwaukee Ave, Niles.

Why Go: Members of the Niles VFW Post #7712 will conduct a ceremony at the Niles Historical Museum in memory of those Niles residents who served our country.

Veteran’s Day Event 

When/Where: Friday, November 11 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Park Ridge Senior Center; 100 S. Western Ave, Park Ridge.

Why Go: The Senior Center will be putting on a special program to honor our veterans. Breakfast will be served.

Pricing: Veterans attend free; $8 for non-veteran attendees.

Holiday Craft Fair

Where/When: Sunday Nov. 13 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at , 8305 N. Harlem, Niles.

Why Go: More than 50 crafters will have their handiworks on display, giving you an early holiday selection of their best work. Continental breakfast, as well as lunch, will be served. There'll be a bake sale and raffles, too.

Pricing: Admission $1.

When/Where: Sunday, November 13 at 2 p.m. at the ; 6960 W. Oakton St, Niles. 

Why Go: Award-winning musician and composer Susan Salidor returns to the Niles Library for a family concert.

National Gaming Day

When/Where: Saturday, November 12 from 1:30 until 4 p.m. at the  ; 6960 W. Oakton St, Niles. 

Why Go: Play popular games on Playstation 3, Xbox Kinect and Wii systems provided by Best Buy. The will be food and a chance to win raffle prizes!

When/Where: Friday, November 11 at 2 p.m. at the Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave, Morton Grove
Why Go: In this hands-on workshop you will set up an account in Facebook, select
privacy savings and learn how to find friends and update your status. Registration limited
to 3.

eReader Drop-in Clinic

When/Where: Saturday, November 12 at 10 a.m. at the Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave, Morton Grove, IL
Why Go: Learn how to check out eBooks from the LIbrary. Stop by the Copperman Board Room, try out popular eReaders and receive one-on-one assistance from tech savvy librarians.
