Why Go: Yes, a holiday event this early. Join the Niles Senior Center at their fundraiser to enjoy baked goods, holiday crafts, and lots of holiday-themed fun.

Pumpkin Smash And Bash

When/Where: Saturday, November 5 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Centennial Park; 100 S. Western Avenue, Park Ridge.

Why Go: Start a fun new after-Halloween tradition by recycling your pumpkins. Participants will roll their pumpkins down Centennial hill and smash them into piles of compost.

Why Go: Come out and enjoy Xanadu put on by the students at Niles West High School about a Greek muse who descends from Mount Olympus with her sister muses to inspire Sonny to achieve the greatest creation of his life--a roller disco.

Gala 2011

When/Where: Saturday Nov. 5 at 6 pm at Parish Ministry Center, 8307 N. Harlem, Niles.

Why Go: See this modern building get transformed into an elegant banquet hall for this fundraiser benefitting the school. Enjoy fancy foods, dancing, music and an awards ceremony. The silent auction features a Wrigley skybox for 12, Blackhawks suite tickets, a Disney World stay and firetruck and police car rides to school.
