When/Where: Sunday June 26, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Niles Historical Society, 8970 N Milwaukee Ave., Niles.
Why Go: Actress Roberta Randall gives insight into this fascinating historical character by portraying her in a one-woman show.
Pricing: Free admission.

Evening Of Dancing
When/Where: Saturday June 25, lessons at 8 p.m., open dancing from 9 p.m. to midnight. Interclub Academy of Dance, 7350 N. Milwaukee Ave, Niles.
Why Go: Spend your Saturday night learning some dance moves and showing them off on the dance floor.
Pricing: $8, includes beverages and snacks.

Park Ridge Farmer’s Market
When/Where: Prairie Avenue in uptown Park Ridge, Saturday June 25, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why Go: Chat with farmers and buy fresh basil for your caprese salad.
Pricing: Free admission.

Concerts In The Park
When/Where: Friday June 24 at 8 p.m., Hodges Park, Prospect and Courtland Streets, Park Ridge (one block west of the Pickwick Theatre).
Why Go: Both serious music lovers and families on picnics will enjoy the high quality performance.
Pricing: Free.

Welcome to Morton Grove Day
Where/When: Morton Grove Farmers’ Market at 8930 Waukegan Road on Saturday, June 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why Go: Celebrate new residents, meet people from the community and eat delicious treats.
Pricing: Free admission


Where/When: Oriole Park, Morton Grove 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Why Go: It’s hot outside and a good day for a swim; plus there’s dollars, cents and a DJ involved.

My Perestroika
Where/When: Opens June 24 at the Wilmette Theatre 1122 Central Avenue. Showtimes for the weekend include: Friday at 5:00, 7:00; Saturday and Sunday 2:50, 5:00, 7:00
Why go: Get a glimpse of rare home movie footage from the 1970’s and 80’s in the USSR, as well as other memories that help explain the disillusionment of this generation in Moscow today.

Where/When: , 1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines June 23 to June 26, 6 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
Why Go: Maine West Boosters hold First Annual West Fest. There will be carnival rides, food, games and live music. Everyone in the community is encouraged to come out and enjoy.
