Who Has the Best Facebook Page in Morton Grove?

Nominate your favorites so Patch can put it to a vote.

Morton Grove Patch wants to get to know our Facebook neighbors better and we’re asking for your help.

Let us know what local business or organization has the best Facebook presence. We’ll take the top nominees and do a formal Facebook poll so you can vote for your favorite. Be sure to “like” Morton Grove Patch’s Facebook page so you can lobby your friends and neighbors.

And feel free to nominate yourself — a little bragging never hurts.

So, who’s got the best Morton Grove Facebook page?

Is it the We Grovers From Morton Grove group where people who grew up here post old school photos and reminisce about bygone village landmarks?

Do you prefer the Morton Grove Farmers’ Market, which keeps you up to date on what fresh veggies and fruit you can find each Saturday?

Maybe one of the municipal pages, like the park district or library?

How about Pequod’s Pizza, where you can rave about last night’s dinner?

There are dozens more. We want your input, so please add your thoughts in the comments section below or post it on our Facebook page. And tell your friends to do the same.

I like being connected to the facebook page of the Friends of the Niles Township Food Pantry. It's run by folks in Morton Grove for the pantry that serves are area and others. You can get updates on how to volunteer there, opportunities around town to give and get links to articles about our pantry and local hunger issues. It's really an important site for Morton Groves to "like."

The Morton Grove Chamber's page keeps everyone up to date with what's happening in the business community as well as providing referrals to local businesses and sharing special offers from Chamber members. Check out our page at: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Morton-Grove-Chamber-of-Commerce/171430752900309 and our steak fry event on August 26th, which will benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry!

Although a part of the Chamber, check out their facebook page too, the Morton Grove Farmers' Market has a great page that is run by volunteers and keeps everyone up to date on local produce, seasonality, events and what's happening at the market each Saturday morning along with what is happening at other farmers' markets as well! I'd like to nominate the new "7 Wonders of Morton Grove" page. Also, look for Janice Cha to appear on both MGTV and the Morton Grove Village YouTube site in a few days talking about this exciting new project and how you can share your favorite village wonders to be considered for nomination. Please visit the link below to learn more about the good things that make Morton Grove the unique place it is and the diverse people who've made this community special (now and over our long history going back into the late 1800's). http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/7-Wonders-of-Morton-Grove/165932686812052

Great ideas. Thanks for posting them. We're still accepting nominations for our poll on Facebook to determine the winner. So keep the suggestions coming and let your friends and neighbors know that you'll want their vote.

I know I'm biased, but I have to second Mark Matz' nomination for the '7 Wonders of Morton Grove' page.... we're trying hard to get this program launched. I'm hoping that the many members from 'We Grovers' will nominate some of their favorite areas of this town. :-) http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/7-Wonders-of-Morton-Grove/165932686812052
