Art Rescue for Tomorrow's Artists Auction to benefit School District 69's Art Program

Art has taken a huge hit due to budget cuts. Due to the cuts in art teachers, Grades K-2 will no longer receive ANY art instruction. The upper level grades prior to high school will receive very little. We are organizing a "high-end auction". Our goal is to try to come up with $$ to help bring back arts to the schools, whether it be through free after school lessons for kids, or funding an artist(s) in residence. This is a way for the community to fund our children's exposure to fine arts, experience of self expression, and creating for the joy and love of it. We need to "think outside the box."

The ART (Art Rescue for Tomorrow's Artists) auction is to take place Wed., August 24th of 2011 at Crazy Jaws Roadhouse from 6-8pm. We have TONS of goodies up for auction, both art pieces and non-art related items. The total donations are valued in the thousands of dollars! Check out our "Stuff for Auction" photo album on Facebook. Also listed are opening bid prices that you have to see to believe!!

Crazy Jaws Roadhouse has generously offered to host our event AND offer a percentage of the food and drink sales to the ART fund (don't forget to mention this to your server). Please consider joining us for this worthwhile event. The Mosquitos JamBand will be performing live as well!
