"Over the course of the school year, the Maine East Orchesis Dance Company has put forth nothing but hard-work, determination, and a positive attitude while exploring the art of dance,” said Orchesis sponsor Kristin Seske. “The goals that the students have been working on as a company are improving their dance technique, exploring new dance styles, and learning about the art of choreography.  In addition, the students felt that is would be a wonderful idea to use their annual show as fundraiser for a charity.  We could not have agreed on a better charity, one that is very close to home and directly impacts our students."

Seske said the students have been working extremely hard since the beginning of the semester to perfect the dances they have created.  Students choreographed the majority of the show, with Seske serving as choreographer for two new pieces - one that is set on the full company, and the other that is set as a trio.
