Maine South High School Orchesis Dance Show

The Maine South High School Orchesis Dance Company will present a January 7 and 8 show at the school's auditorium.

The show, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights, is titled "Heartbreaker" and will showcase a variety of dance styles such as jazz, hip-hop, modern, and lyrical.  The choreography is done primarily by current orchesis members.  The company has been working on the show since early September.

Orchesis sponsor Amelia Faulstick said: "For the limited time the company has to work to get the show together, I feel we always produce a fantastic opportunity for the community to enjoy a night of dance theatre."

Maine South's Orchesis Dance Company has offered a performance opportunity to local middles schools, and group of middle-school students will be joining South dancers for a portion of the performance.

Tickets are $7 and will be sold at the door.  Maine South High School is located at 1111 South Dee Road in Park Ridge.
