Make Recycled Paper for Hand-made Valentines
Join us in the Museum Education Center to learn how to make recycled paper from scraps of used paper. Plan to get a little messy as we blend paper and water to make “slurry” that we will strain to make recycled paper for you to take home. Use your recycled paper to make hand-made valentines, stationary, or a paper project of your choice. Experience the process of reprocessing and closed-loop recycling. The paper making kit is on loan from the Solid Waste Agency of Northern Cook County (SWANCC). Enjoy an exhibit featuring old-fashioned valentines from our Museum collection. This program is free, but reservations are required. To reserve a spot call the Morton Grove Historical Museum at (847) 965-0203.
