Niles West Presents XANADU

The Niles West production of "XANADU" pokes fun at the cult film starring Olivia Newton-John. A Greek muse, Clio (Lauren Langer), descends from Mount Olympus with her sister muses to inspire Sonny (Steven Czajkowski) to achieve the greatest creation of his life--a roller disco. Clio's jealous sisters Calliope (Julia Zasso) and Melpomene (Anahita Karimi) want Clio to fall in love with Sonny, so that she will evoke Zeus' wrath and earn eternal banishment. Danny (Daniel Bedoya) is a businessman who owns the shuttered theater XANADU, and who lost the love of a woman who looked remarkably like Clio because he put his love for money before his love for her. Showtimes are 4 p.m. on Friday, November 4 and 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5. A free community performance will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 3. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students, senior citizens and children. Call the Box Office at 847-626-2633.
