Packard Story Presentation at The Summit of Uptown

A return engagement of “The Packard Story” has been scheduled  at The Summit of Uptown, 10 N. Summit (at Touhy), Park Ridge, on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 1:30 p.m. when John Maxson will present “Seven Men:  The History of the Packard Motor Car Company.”  There is no charge for this program.

Come see this lifelong classic automobile enthusiast and former director of Packard’s of Chicagoland while enjoying a root beer float at The Summit.  Maxson will speak from the perspective of the automobile manufacturer’s seven presidents as he tells the story of this independent maker of premier luxury automobiles.  Including more than 150 slides, the presentation chronicles the Packard car business as well as its manufacture of engines during World War II for aircraft like the famed P-51 Mustang fighter and marine engines for PT Boats.  Packard motor cars will be on display outside, weather permitting.
