Serving Morton Grove in Blue...Then and Now! A Civil War Sesquicentennial Program

The Morton Grove Historical Society and Morton Grove Park District will be commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War by hosting a presentation at the Morton Grove Historical Museum Educational Center (6148 Dempster Street, Morton Grove, IL 60053) on Sunday, October 30, 2011. This two-part program will feature a lecture about family research done by a local Morton Grove couple (John & Kathy Hill) starting at 1:00 pm and include 1860’s re-enactors in period clothing (who will also display their organization’s Civil War period cannon) both an hour before and after the presentation.

While a free event, seating may be limited. Attendees are encouraged to contact the Museum and Society in advance. For More Information about the program, Park District or Historical Society, please contact Mary Busch – Curator at:
