St Stephen Parish in Des Plaines is hosting it's 10th Annual Family Fest on the parish grounds at Spruce & Prospect Streets. This event is planned as a kick-off to a year long celebration of it's 60th Anniversary.

The dates are Friday August 10th 6 pm to 11 pm and Saturday August 11th 11 am to 11 pm. There are many activities and events scheduled There is entertainment on stage with the headliner for Friday evening 9 pm is Rick “Elvis” Saucedo. There is entertainment all day on stage Saturday including the dancers from Galena Dance Studio of Des Plaines and the headline act of Triple Shot on stage at 8 pm.
Food will be sold by Allegretti's Italian Restaurant of Des Plaines, Gotta B Crepes of Evanston, Lukes
of Mundelein and Pop-O-Licious of Des Plaines.
There will be games for young and old including yahtzee and the bottle game. There are many activities for children. There is a special raffle of a Weber Grill donated by the Weber Stephens Co of Palatine and a Bike donated by Bob's Bikes of Park Ridge. We will have Bingo, all day in Saturday and over 40 raffle prizes donated by restaurants, theaters and other venues. We will also have several Split-the-pot games running during the festival.
On Saturday there will be crafters and vendors of many different items. There are several spaces available if you have craft or specialty items that you would like to sell. There is a nominal fee charged for the space and this is a donation to St Stephen Parish. Reservations and payment must be made prior to July 22, 2012.
