Morton Grove Native Jeff Garlin Reminisces on the 'Last Perfect Time'

The actor known for his role in HBO's hit "Curb Your Enthusiasm" describes his childhood in Morton Grove as the "last perfect time."

Jeff Garlin is best known for his performance alongside comedian Larry David in the HBO series, "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

Yet the Morton Grove native recently gave credit to for some of his comedic training, according to a recent interview with the Daily Herald.

“I took it very seriously that I was the funniest kid in school,” he said, in the story written by Jamie Sotonoff. “If a kid came up to me and said someone else was funnier, I was crushed, and I'd go do something to make sure I was the funniest again.”

Garlin also reserved special sentiments for Morton Grove.

“If I have any normality to my life, it's because of the time I spent in Morton Grove,” Garlin said. “My childhood in Morton Grove was idyllic. It was the greatest time of my life. It was the last perfect time.”
