Northwestern Student Will Compete On Next 'Survivor' Season

Alexis Maxwell, 21, is a junior majoring in psychology. "I know how to lead in a sneaky way," she told CBS.

Northwestern student Alexis Maxwell, 21, says she plans to use her persuasive skills as a psychology major on the next season of Survivor.

Maxwell, a junior from Addison, is one of the contestants on season 28, which premiers Wednesday, Feb. 26, on CBS.
In her cast interview, Maxwell says her background in psychology is her strongest asset, and she plans to use her understanding of group dynamics to improve her situation on the show.
"I have always been aware of my role in a group and I know how to lead in a sneaky way," Maxwell says. "I will use my education and flirty personality to assure I'm always in a good position."

To prepare for the show, Maxwell says she started exercising more, going to gym, swimming and running.

"I'm an adventure person," she says in her cast video. "I'm definitely excited to come out here and having nothing."
