Ever wish you could go back to college? Looking at the course catalog for Niles Township District 219 High Schools this year, you might actually wish you could go back to high school instead.
There are a variety of intriguing classes on this year’s course catalogue, which let Dist. 219 students learn sports marketing or video game programming, and more. Here’s a look at some of the unique opportunities.
- Sports and Entertainment Marketing. Who knows, students may someday be promoting the next Beyonce or Patrick Kane.
- Fashion Workshop. Students can create their own projects, such as prom dresses or multi-piece garments.
- Gourmet and International Cuisine. Students will study food preparation from around the world, including the history of a region and cultural influences on cuisines. If this includes tastings, we can see how it would be popular.
- Algebra Fundamentals--Bilingual Assyrian. The school also offers global studies, physical science and biology in a bilingual Assyrian format.
- Video Game Programming and Design. Who knows, a D219 student could go on to find fame and fortune by designing the next hot video game.
