Golf Road between Washington and Shermer was reopened just before 10 a.m. Wednesday, after it was closed at about 6:45 a.m.due to a motorcycle crash.
The motorcyclist was eastbound on Golf near Oleander when he lost control, struck a utility pole and his motorcycle continued eastbound, said Morton Grove Police Commander Paul Yaras.
The cyclist was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital with serious injuries. Police have charged him with DUI and are still investigating, Yaras said.
Niles and Glenview police assisted with traffic control, as the incident played out during the morning rush hour.
