Changes Made to Morton Grove Liquor License Laws

Paperwork and cost components of class E licenses have been changed, according to the Morton Grove Champion.

Morton Grove Village Trustees approved five new liquor licenses at a special board meeting July 18, the Morton Grove Champion reports.

A number of changes were also made to existing licenses to “eliminate some of the red tape" that restaurant, bar and club owners face, according to the newspaper. Those applying for class “E” licenses, or those that allow restaurants with a full bar to serve alcohol only if 50 percent of their sales come from food or other items, will have lower costs and less paperwork. The village also added two more class "A" licenses for full liquor sales, two class "C" licenses, and an additional class "C" license for clubs.
