The owners of Ginza Steak and Sushi Buffet, which is set to open right after New Year's, are investing $1 million in remodeling and decorating the restaurant, said General Manager David Kuo.
"It will have a beautiful bar area and a huge buffet table with more than 100 items," Kuo said. "There will be lots of seafood, sushi, stir fry, grill and dessert."
There will also be lobster and crab legs, as well as chicken dishes, noodle dishes and vegetarian dishes. Kuo said the food would be from various Asian culinary traditions, including Japanese, Chinese and Korean.

He expects the price to be $20 for adults, and said the children's price has not yet been set.
The restaurant is owned by Xin Liu and Kenny Chen, who Kuo said have many years of experience owning restaurants in Rockford, Chicago and New Jersey. Kuo has 25 years of restaurant experience.
The opening of the restaurant was delayed by Superstorm Sandy, because some of the equipment and furnishings were being delivered from New Jersey. But Ginza will honor all coupons, Kuo said.
After the food service closes down at about 9 to 9:30 in the evenings, Kuo said the bar will remain open until 1 or 2 a.m.
"Stop by and say hello," Kuo said. "We'll do our best to make sure you have an enjoyable experience."
