Macy's To Open Thanksgiving Day At Old Orchard Location

For many decades, Macy's stores stayed firmly shut on Thanksgiving, while hordes of people watched the retailer's Christmas parade in person and on television.
Now, Macy's has announced its State Street store will be open in the evening on Thanksgiving, according to abclocal.go.com, and expects its Old Orchard (in Skokie) and Water Tower Place stores to also be open.
What do you think? Should Macy's allow employees to eat Thanksgiving dinner with their families? Or is this another custom which will erode for business reasons?
