Mariano's Unlikely To Buy Morton Grove Dominick's Store

Rumors are circulating that Whole Foods and Jewel-Osco may buy some locations.

After Mariano's announced Monday it would buy 11 of the 72 Chicagoland Dominick's stores that will shut down around Dec. 28, many people hoped the Morton Grove Dominick's, on Dempster at Waukegan Road, would be on the list.

It wasn't.

And Mariano's is most likely not going to buy any more beyond those 11 stores, nbcchicago.com reported. The news station interviewed Bob Mariano of Mariano's, who delivered that news.

Rumors are also circulating that Whole Foods is going to buy seven Dominick's stores, and Jewel-Osco may purchase 10 beyond the four it originally bought, according to Elmhurst Patch.
