Morton Grove Chamber Gets New Director

Debbie Juris leaves the Niles Chamber of Commerce and heads east to take the helm of Morton Grove's Chamber.

On her second day on the job, Debbie Juris already had a new business coming in to her office to join the Morton Grove Chamber of Commerce.

Juris, the Chamber's new executive director, was introduced to the Morton Grove village board at its meeting Monday night. She was Membership Services Coordinator at the Niles Chamber of Commerce for 10 years.

"Debbie's a tremendous asset," said Rich Block, a Morton Grove Chamber officer and owner of Creative Promotional Products. "She's dealt with both Niles and Morton Grove and she knows the people and the businesses. She's a natural for the position.

"She has an extensive background in management for chambers and dealing with membership drives, Business After Hours events and everything we put on every year for our members.

"We were very fortunate to find her for the job."
