Niles Chamber Installs 2012 Officers

More than 100 business people attended the Niles Chamber of Commerce holiday party Wednesday.

Business people and elected officials exchanged holiday greetings Wednesday evening at the Niles Chamber of Commerce and Industry's end-of-the-year party, held at on Milwaukee Avenue.

Chamber members circulated among the more than 100 people who attended, selling raffle tickets to benefit the Chamber's programs.

Vince Scaletta of Aflac, the 2011 Chamber president, thanked the members and staff as he turned the gavel over to Iwona Filipiak of Koenig & Strey Realty, who will serve as the 2012 president.

After State Rep. John D'Amico presided over installing the new officers, Filipiak thanked Chamber members for the opportunity and said her goals were to stabilize the Chamber's budget, keep the website up to date, drive traffit to it and strengthen the Chamber's relationship to the village.
