Patch Goes Fifties at Party
Chickie's Diner in Park Ridge hosts Niles Patch's first event for community leaders.
The decor was pink flamingos, the food was turkey, egg salad and tuna salad sandwiches and the atmosphere was 1950s as Patch invited Niles community leaders to a "Welcome to Niles Patch" event Monday amidst the vintage decor at Chickie's Diner, 920 Busse Highway, Park Ridge.
About 40 people from local businesses, schools, churches, hospitals and organizations chatted and got to know each other. Patch folks also showed them how to list news and upcoming events on Niles Patch (Hint: on the home page, scroll to the bottom right and look for the green "Contribute" box.)
