Ten sets of pies competed for six judges' palates and eyeballs. An old-fashioned apple pie won.
Despite rainy weather, the Morton Grove Farmers' Market Harvest Fest wasn't washed out, which was good news for the pie contest judges and winner.
Last Saturday Morton Grove's Mike Johnson won the homemade pie contest against nine other entrants with his apple pie.
