Whole Foods Opening In Park Ridge In Two Weeks

They're having a block party Sunday, Oct. 27 to benefit Wright-Way Animal Shelter.

If you're looking for organic foods, the Whole Foods in Park Ridge has announced a Nov. 6 opening date.

But if you head over to the store, at Touhy Avenue and Washington Street, just east of uptown Park Ridge, you'll find a block party and barbecue this Sunday, Oct. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., according to its website. The block party will benefit Wright-Way Animal Shelter, which lost its building when a runaway bus crashed into it two weeks ago.

The website says the store has 36,000 square feet and offers  with a fresh juice bar, seasonal freshly made donuts, classic neapolitan pizzas, a taqueria, gelato and two spots to eat: Gaslight, a wine and cheese bar and the Park Ridge Bar, serving coffee during the daytime and 15 craft beers in the evenings.
