Forest Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation becomes Avanti Wellness & Rehabilitation – Brings New Philosophy of Care & Hospitality to Focus

Forest Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation is now Avanti Wellness & Rehabilitation. With this new name, comes a wellness-focused philosophy of care.

Avanti Wellness & Rehabilitation remains under the same management as previous, however with this new name comes a stronger focus on short-term, post-acute rehabilitation services, education and customer service. Avanti strives to not only provide a high level of post-acute rehabilitation and care, but to educate patients and their families on the importance of their health and staying well through disease-specific education and providing tools to aid in their journey to wellness post-discharge. 

Disease-specific education coupled with the correct tools at home reduces re-hospitalization and assists in maintaining the highest functional status and quality of life for patients facing chronic illness. Avanti has additionally rolled out specific programming such as:

·      Pharmacy Wellness Program – educating patients and their  families as to medication regimens

·      Dietary Education – teaching why diet is important to a patient’s lifestyle dependent on diagnosis

·      Home Exercise Program – teaching exercises that can be done at home to help maintain the highest level of functioning

·      Disease State Education – educating patients as to their specific diagnosis

With this new name also comes a greater emphasis on customer service. Patients can expect the comforts of private and semi-private newly remodeled suites, a concierge, room service and a restaurant-like menu. In addition to these services and the newly remodeled interior, Avanti will undergo a facelift by remodeling the exterior and main entrance of the building.

Avanti’s clinical programming includes orthopedic rehabilitation, cardiac management and rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, wound care, in-house dialysis, acute and chronic kidney disease management, respite care and hospice and palliative care services.
