Meet Ted, A Top-Notch Fellow

Ted, a large, chestnut-brown pittie mix with a white blaze on his chest, is sweet, kind and sensitive—but also sometimes a little clueless about his strength and size--which means Ted is seeking a person who has experience with dogs.

"My puppy-like attitude will make you laugh," Ted says. "I can be attentive one minute, then off investigating some sound or smell the next. I love to play and would like lots of tennis balls, please.

"Other dogs sometimes confuse me when they want to play, so I'll need socialization and positive experiences in that department," Ted adds. "At the end of a long day, I look forward to downtime in a comfy dog bed. If you're a patient person who’s looking for a ‘Ted’-dy bear of a dog, please come to meet me."

• Terrier Mix, 1 - 1.5 years old, Neutered male
• ASPCA Canine-ality™ Assessment rating:Green / Life of the Party
• Large size / weighs 60 lbs. 
• Ted would do best in a home with children over 13 due to his large size.
• Absolutely no cats.
• Ted needs minimal housebreaking.
• Attendance in D.O.G. Obedience classes is required.
• Ted is neutered, microchipped and has had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines.

Please come to C.A.R.E., 2310 Oakton St., Evanston, to meet Ted and speak to an adoption counselor. Adoption hours are Monday through Thursday, 6-8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, noon-3:30 p.m.
