Morton Grove EDC To Host Fall 2011 Pet Adoption Event

The Morton Grove Economic Development Commission and Paws Pet Place to host a second pet adoption event on Sunday September 25 at the Washington Commons Shopping Center in Morton Grove.

The Morton Grove Economic Development Commission and Paws Pet Place are once again teaming up to host another pet adoption event on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 7961 W. Golf Rd. in the Washington Commons Shopping Center in Morton Grove.

This particular event has become a "pet project" for EDC commissioner Karen Johnson.  There is an ongoing need for "forever" homes for dogs and cats and unfortunately there are more available animals than available homes. The EDC and Nicole Anderson, owner of Paws Pet Place have planned an event that will allow potential adoptors to meet and apply for available pets from a wide variety of dog and cat rescue and adoption agencies.

Current pet owners will have the unique opportunity to gather free advice from veterinarians, dog trainers and groomers. Berglund Animal Hospital, Glen Oak Animal Hospital and the Morton Grove Animal Hospital's staff veterinarians will all be on site. Also included on the list of exhibitors are pet food and pet products suppliers. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. Pets are welcome too. Hours are 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
