ComEd: Power Outages Could Last For Days

Agency reports that 267,000 customers have lost power in its service area.

Restoring power to ComEd's northern region, including Morton Grove, could be a multiple-day effort due to the extent of the damage, a ComEd spokesperson told Patch.

In the agency's northern region, which was hit the hardest, there are 187,000 customers without power, according to ComEd. In total, 267,000 customers are affected.

More than 400 crews are out working to restore power, the agency reports.

In Morton Grove, some are still without power. Public Works crews started to clean up the wreckage Tuesday night, while some trees are still down around town.

In Northbrook, traffic lights are out downtown and along Willow Road between Waukegan and Pfingsten roads, among other areas.
