Free Movies: The Lincoln Lawyer
When/Where: Thursday, Aug. 18, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Morton Grove Public Library, 6140 Lincoln Ave., Morton Grove (Baxter Room - Auditorium (main floor))
Why Go: (Duh, Matthew McConaughey...) Michael 'Mick' Haller is a slick, charismatic Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln Town Car. Having spent most of his career defending petty, gutter-variety criminals, Mick unexpectedly lands the case of a lifetime. Sounds to good to be true? Why Go: Kid's Interactive Glo Germ Station, Teddy Bear and Doll Check-Up Clinic and touch-a-firetruck with the Des Plaines Fire Department are sure to be a hit with kids at this family-friendly festival. There will also be sports and school physicals offered at a reduced rate.

Edison Park Fest
When/Where: Friday Aug. 19, Saturday Aug. 20, Sunday Aug. 21, Noon to 10 p.m., centered around the Edison Park train station, just west of Northwest Highway between Oliphant and Oshkosh, Chicago, near Niles and Park Ridge.  
Why Go: Jugglers, parade, magic, dog show, bags tournament, and that’s before we get to the bands, which include Funk Libido Circus, Trash Martini and Red Rebel County.

Concert In The Park
When/Where: Friday, August 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Oak Park, on Main Street and Ozark, Niles.
Why Go: Rock out to some old school rock ‘n’ roll at the last concert of the summer, featuring the band BBI.
