Mom Claims Autistic Son Slapped on School Bus

The mother of a student at Julia S. Malloy Education Center in Morton Grove claims a school bus aide slapped her non-verbal autistic child, the Morton Grove Champion reports.

Nabiha Zaya filed a lawsuit against the Niles Township District for Special Education No. 807 and Positive Connections bus company for the incident. Zaya said she discovered what happened after putting a recording device in her son’s backpack. Zaya said her son needed medical treatment after the incident, the newspaper reports.
