Todd Price, the director of Wagner Farm in Glenview, recently took part in the 2014 Illinois Agricultural Leadership Program and says the program helped him gain a better understanding of consumers' role in agriculture and the importance for people to know about food production, Glenview Announcements reported.
Don Norton, president and CEO of Illinois Agricultural Leadership Foundation, which sponsored the program that takes members to Chicago, Washington, D.C., and overseas to study world food systems, says Price was chosen because he’s on the forefront of sharing the important story of agriculture and is where farming intersects with the general public, Glenview Announcement reported.
