Whiz Kids: Morton Grove's Students Raise Thousands

○      Whiz Kids' Accomplishment: As co-presidents of the school's student council, the powerful duo combined forces to raise more than $3,000 for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through a program called Pennies for Patients.

○      Whiz Kids' Key to Awesomeness: For the past month, Park View's student council passed out collection boxes in each classroom for students to drop in spare change. Every Friday morning announcement included a friendly reminder to students to give back, and the hallways were lined with homemade posters about the fundraiser.

When asked about the impetus for the pennies drive, both Haley and Joel said it was all about giving back.
