Alzheimer’s Disease or Other Dementias:
How to handle challenging behaviors and encourage positive engagement
This workshop will help you:
- Learn about what causes Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias
- Recognize the symptoms and learn more about the challenging behaviors
- Discover techniques to help handle these behaviors and various techniques to encourage your loved one to engage in sharing their memories and participating in activities
** If you would like to participate in an interactive Virtual Dementia Tour after the presentation,
please stick around. The Tour will provide you with the experience of the sensory and cognitive effects of dementia. You will get to experience first-hand the struggles of having your senses hindered and the emotions that can manifest from the inability to carry out the simplest tasks. **
