Autumn Fest and American Indian Cultural Celebration

The Morton Grove Park District, the Morton Grove Historical Society and the Farmer's Market committee have collaborated on this event. The Harvest Fest during the Farmers Market runs from 8am - 12pm. Park District activities in Harrer Park follow the market from 12pm - 3pm and will include arts and crafts, a petting zoo, hay rides, games and live music. Giordanos will be selling pizza and refreshments and Culvers will be on site selling frozen custard!

Plan to stop in the Museum Education Center between 12pm - 3pm for activities and crafts exhibiting American Indian culture, View the on-site woodcarving demonstration by artist Eric Widitz of Artwood Designs. Widitz plans to work with a chainsaw to create the likeness of a Potawotami Eagle Dancer, utilizing the 14 foot trunk of the Indian Marker Tree that was removed from Beckwith and Narragansett in Morton Grove.
