BOOMERS & BEYOND Community Resource Fair

The Skokie Commission on Family Services will host the first annual Boomers & Beyond Community Resource Fair on Friday, November 8, at Oakton Community Center.

The Resource Fair will showcase products and services designed to help people age with grace and independence while living an active, healthy lifestyle. Attendees will receive helpful information and expert advice about local resource including government benefits, health care services, senior housing, social & leisure activities, volunteer opportunities, lifelong education, assistive devices and more.

In addition to an exhibit area featuring more than 40 vendors, there will be FREE wellness screenings, education seminars, raffle prizes, refreshments and numerous giveaways.  

A Technology Drop-In Center with tech consultants will demonstrate the latest in personal technology and answer questions people have about their smart phones, tablets, iPods and other personal electronic devices. Attendees may bring their own devices to the event for brief hands-on tutorials.
