1.          Amati Originals, (Jefferson Park) Mixed Media Wall Art. Kim: “I love the philosophy the store has of showcasing locally made items that show off the creativity and talent of Chicagoans. Also, this part of Chicago doesn't have many "cool" stores that emphasize art and I think it is filling an artistic void in the area. I'm so excited to be a part of it!”

2.          Intermezzo Jewelry, (Lakeview) handmade sterling silver jewelry, featuring gemstone beads, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals.

3.          Reformado Photography, (North Center) specializing in Polaroid SX-70 manipulations and infrared photography turned into coasters, magnets and jewelry.

4.          Ms. Anna Face Painting, (Pilsen) stop over and purchase one of Anna Todaro’s children’s books or have your face painted!  Anna: “I really enjoy the hands on approach a shop like Local Goods Chicago gives to art, viewing the art, and experiencing the art as viewers…I think my strength comes from the colors that I use.   I like to bring color to everything.”

5.          La Pucara Jewelry, (Lincoln Park) handcrafted Jewelry made with seeds from the Amazon Rainforest.

6.          Prunella Papercrafts, (Edgewater) Arty, handcrafted notecards made with vintage photographs, vintage ephemera, & rubber stamps.

7.          Re:Paper, (Bridgeport) Hand-bound books and journals.

8.          Fly’s Eye Photography, (Edgewater) Kevin: “As a non-photographer/artist, I actually started with a need to fill some wall space in my home and wanting to do it myself. Once I began showing some of the images to my friends/family/colleagues and even strangers at the printing shop, their kind words and what seemed to be a genuine like of my prints inspired me.”

9.          Recovered Rubber, (Oak Park) Environmentally and fashionably responsible, 100% recycled, jewelry

In addition to the Artisan Sidewalk Sale, Local Goods Chicago will have other fun activities in the shop during the morning and afternoon.   For kids ages 6-13, there’s a Quick Draw Cartooning class taught by Bob Hilger (Jefferson Park) from 10am-12pm for $15. Kids will learn the basics of how to draw cartoon figures with the use of simple geometric shapes and at the end of the class be able to draw a cartoon person, animals, and a perspective background.

After the class, Melissa Yen of Jo Snow Syrups (Logan Square) will be there for a sampling from 12-2pm. With delicious, unexpected flavor combinations like Tangerine Lavender Honey and Fig Vanilla Black Pepper, Jo Snow makes great sweet treats like snow cones and Italian sodas.  Not only that, they make a great addition to coffee, cocktails, and baking.
